Hey!!! I'm so glad I made a blog and never use it. haha Well, I hope that you took the time to read part of my story in my first entry on this blog and found some encouragement from it. Someday I will definitely write more and catch you up to where I'm currently at in my life now. I have so much I want to say, but sometimes it's just hard for me to talk about some things.
Anyways, I wanted to share with you all an opportunity that God has blessed me with this summer. June 23-July 7 I will be spending time in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa with a great group of seniors and college students from my church, Village Church of Gurnee. We will be working with Zulu children at a kid's camp and serving the surrounding community. We do not know what our exact tasks will be for the entirety of those weeks, but we know that there will be numerous opportunities to serve the Zulu people and some of the other churches in the area.
I can't even express in words the excitement that I have for this trip. I have gone on two missions trips in the past, one to Mexico and another to the Bahamas. Both of those trips were amazing experiences and I am so blessed to have been a part of them. It's always such an amazing experience to go and be the hands and feet of our Lord and Savior. I cannot wait to be a part of this amazing trip to South Africa!! Please be praying for all the preparations for this trip and of course for all the different things that will be going on while we are all over there. (More specifics will come as we get closer to the trip.) The cost of this trip is approximately$2600.00 per person and that is another area where a ton of prayer is needed. I know God has placed this trip on my heart for a reason, yet I am not financially able to pay for this all on my own. I know He wouldn't call me to do something and leave me hanging though. He always provides! Please pray that enough support will come in for me and my other team members.
